5 Advent Studies for Mamas: 2023

As the holiday season approaches, many of you may be looking for ways to deepen your faith and connect meaningfully to the season! One way to do this is through an Advent study. Advent studies offer a unique opportunity to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas and prepare our hearts for the celebration of Christ's birth. With so many options available, it can be overwhelming to choose the right study. In this blog post, I will be sharing the ones that I would personally buy this year! Hope you enjoy!

This is the top advent study I have been eyeing this year! I love to read different perspectives, not the same old thing… if you do, too, this might be the one! The author focuses on characters from this story that often get overlooked: Elizabeth and Zechariah, King Herod, The Magi, and the shepherds.

This beautiful book was compiled and edited by Nancy Guthrie, whom I really like to read! In this particular book, she pulls from essays and sermons of both brilliant scholars and contemporary teachers to draw us into the Christmas Story.

I may be biased here because Louie is our pastor, but he has a way of drawing us in with delicately chosen words, and this advent study is no different! Throughout, he offers scriptures, meditations, reflections, and prayers to prepare our hearts for the birth of our King.

The company Well-Watered Women comes out with a yearly advent study. While the hard copy of this has already sold out, you can still purchase the pdf (which is easier to tote around in this phase of life)! This study focuses on specific people in Jesus genealogy.

I talk about studies and tools from Daily Grace Co. a good bit here because they are just really well done. This is their advent study this year, and they also have a children’s study that coincides, which I will be listing on my children's advent guide later this week!
